Garden Grove is a major city known for its convenient location near Orange County’s famous attractions, but the city itself also as a lot to offer.

Garden Grove has a rich history that began in 1874 when Alonzo Cook founded the early settlement. Garden Grove stayed a rural agricultural center roughly until 1905, when railroad tracks came to town.

In 1933, the town’s business district was heavily damaged by the Long Beach earthquake. Considerable progress, expansion, and overall development followed World War II. During 1956, Garden Grove was officially incorporated as a city. At the time, the population was estimated to be 44,000.

Garden Grove is widely known for the city’s Strawberry Festival, which is attended by around 250,000 visitors from all over. This festival takes place on Memorial Day weekend and brings many visitors to the city.
