League City is an independent city located southeast of Downtown Houston.

Home to more than 104,000 people, the affluent city lets residents enjoy the benefits of big city life and the luxuries of waterfront living.

Nature enthusiasts get their fill of outdoor adventures as League City boasts of abundant green spaces, expansive parks, and hiking and biking trails.

The town’s proximity to the Gulf Coast makes it easy for residents to take advantage of several water activities that include water sports, sailing, surfing, or jet skiing.

League City also showcases upscale shops and dining destinations.

More than 51,000 people make up League City’s workforce. About 86% of the city’s workers are employed in white-collar jobs.

The warm season here lasts for four months – from May to September – with average daily high temperatures of above 86°F. The best time for outdoor activities in League City is from March until November – when one gets to experience pleasant temperatures and little rainfall. SCHOOLS IN League City

Most of the public schools in League City are under the jurisdiction of the Clear Creek Independent School District. Some homes are also served by the Dickinson and Santa Fe Independent School Districts.

CCISD has received a Met Standard rating from the Texas Education Agency. The district is committed to a rigorous academic curriculum that helps students gain 21st-century skills that are necessary to succeed in college and beyond.

Schools under the district offer a wide array of extracurricular programs that enable students to explore and pursue their interests in the sciences and the arts. These include courses in robotics, engineering, choir, band, and sports clubs.

The Dickinson ISD offers special education and programs for gifted and talented students. The district is also known for prioritizing students’ academic excellence through advanced STEM courses and bilingual programs.
