Lido Isle Neighborhood Guide

Even with a population of only 1,800 people, this man-made residential island still is a great place to live and raise a family. Lido Isle was considered apart of Newport Beach in the early 1900s while it was still just a tidal flat and sandbar. Before it was perfect for residential, this island was all beach. Today, Lido Isle is full of beautiful beach cottages and homes.

This neighborhood has nearby restaurants for you eating enjoyment such as Bluewater Grill, The Cannery Seafood of the Pacific, and Buddha’s Favorite. The surrounding area has both have upscale and casual dining options. Also, Lido Isle is near the fashion-forward and classy Lido Marina Village Mall. If you want to see the most recent movies in the box office, head to the popular Regency Lido Theater for an experience. The people on this island enjoy doing watersports and engaging activities on the beach.

This quiet and quaint neighborhood is mostly a residential area with little to no commercial facilities. The only businesses on the island is the Lido Isle Club House and a snack bar that is open during the summer months. With only one road linking this island to the rest of Newport Beach, the culture of this neighborhood is extremely peaceful and family-friendly.

Lido Isle is sometimes considered a semi-private community. This neighborhood is separated from other parts of the city, making it seem more like a city rather than a neighborhood. Business and errands are done outside of Lido Isle.

Being that Lido Isle is mainly a small residential community, many families either enroll their students in schools within the Newport-Mesa Unified School District or in a private institution nearby. The well-known Newport-Mesa Unified School District has schools for students ranging in different levels from kindergarten all the way to twelfth grade.

This school district only offers the best school curriculums, programs, and extracurricular activities. Improved student academic performance is also very important to the school officials because it shows student growth. Plus, it essentially helps each school see what students need to work on in terms of subject courses. This school district has enrolled over 22,000 students in its 32 schools from both cities of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.

Private schools in the area are great alternatives to public institutions. If families want their students to be in smaller schools and more college-preparatory classes, private schools have them.

Since Lido Isle compiled of mostly residential buildings and homes, the island is populated with single-family homes and a few apartments. It is such a breathtaking sight to see such magnificent coastal homes, especially those facing the bay. Gourmet kitchens, three-car garages, master suites, and three bathrooms are considered the norm in Lido Isle.

People in this neighborhood are about class, sophistication, and luxury. There are only a few apartments and little to no condominiums in Lido Isle because most people there are homeowners with families. People have investing in this community and made it into a luxurious residential sanctuary.

The apartments in Lido Isle are built for single families in mind with more than two bedrooms and bathrooms. They are single-level with open floor plans to accommodate a growing family. Private access to the beach and other amenities such as a tennis court and parks makes this apartments stand out.
