Memorial Bend is a residential neighborhood in western Houston, TX. Memorial Bend is split in two by the Sam Houston Tollway, which was built straight through the neighborhood in 1992. Although there are a variety of residents within the community, most of the population is made up of families. The neighborhood belongs to the Spring Branch Independent School District and is close to many top-rated schools. Memorial Bend is quiet and has a low crime rate, but it’s conveniently located for easy commutes and is close to some of Houston’s best attractions.

Residents can be in Downtown Houston in 20 minutes, and they’re surrounded by beautiful parks, excellent shopping destinations and plenty of family recreation centers. Memorial Bend is a historic neighborhood, and it’s famous for having the most mid-century modern homes in all of Houston. Built in the 1950s and early 1960s, many of these homes were featured in national architecture and design magazines.

Memorial Bend is an affluent neighborhood and is made up of mostly families followed by a mix of young professionals and retired couples. Families make up about 77% of the community. Memorial Middle School: Memorial Middle School is a little over five minutes northeast of Memorial Bend. Students attend the school from sixth through eighth grade. Spring Branch Middle School: Spring Branch is just over ten minutes east of the neighborhood on Piney Point Road. Stratford High School: Stratford High is another excellent public high school option for the students of Memorial Bend.
