The hottest weather usually occurs between July and late September. During this period, humidity levels can reach highs around 95%, which feels exceptionally muggy. The typical highest temperature in Orange during summer months is 85°F.

Winter months bring high temperatures around 67°F and lows around 45°F. December through March are usually months where residents layer up. Seeing as the city isn’t known for experiencing temperatures that dip below freezing, it’s no surprise that Orange receives no snowfall.

Natural Disasters
Natural Disasters

Orange experiences similar natural disasters to other inland Orange County cities. Wildfires, earthquakes and storms are the main concerns for residents. On the whole, Orange County experiences over twice as many natural disasters per year than the national average.

While coastal cities are more concerned with earthquakes than fires, Orange’s close proximity to both Chino Hills and Limestone Canyon make the city more vulnerable to bushfires. Apart from fires in the summer months, severe storms can bring heavy rain and cause flooding. Although floods rarely cause injuries, they can damage personal property.
