Riverside is located in southwest Cleveland and is one of four neighborhoods that make up the West Park community.
The neighborhood has a population of about 4,900 residents. Most of the housing units in the area are single-family homes built after World War II.
Riverside is the site of the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport – the country’s first municipally-owned airport that covers more than half of the neighborhood’s total land area. Riverside has undergone many infrastructure changes to accommodate airport runway expansions. Areas near the airport have been turned into industrial parks.
The neighborhood also houses the NASA Glenn Research Center – an exhibition center that boosts employment in the community.
